Do you remember any time that really take your breath away? I’ve had a few. Like the first time I saw the Eiffel tower a few years ago, I almost cried speechless that I finally saw one of my dreams unfold before my eyes. It was just gorgeous and unreal.
I had another one of these moments not too long ago. As you may have noticed (or not) I’ve officially moved to a new state. I went from Cali to South Dakota and now I’m based out of Arizona! Now I won’t get into too much detail of my move to AZ, but I am officially a resident now considering I finally got my license and my car plates here!
If you can think of one of the most sought out attractions in Arizona, what comes to mind?
The Grand Canyon!
I know, how is it that this is the very first time I’ve been to the Grand Canyon when I honestly did not live all that far living in Southern California. Well to answer your question, I’d never actually been to Arizona up until I MOVED here. CRAZY RIGHT?
But I am here now and I wanted to share the beautiful moments I had at the Grand Canyon. So I made a little video for everyone to see all the beauty I saw and see how much fun I had walking in SNOW, yes SNOW, in the Grand Canyon.
All I can say is that you must see the Grand Canyon in person one day because no picture or video will ever do this place justice. It is absolutely breathtaking. I didn’t capture my reaction upon first seeing this place, but mostly because when I first see something I’ve been wanting to see my whole life I truly like to turn every electronic thing I have and just enjoy the moment first by myself and in the moment.
Which I encourage everyone to do when exploring a new place. I received this wonderful advice from a favorite TV Traveler of mine, Samantha Brown, from a travel expo I went to a few years ago. Here’s a link to the video I made with her and the awesome advice she gives people!
I hope you enjoy this little piece of the Grand Canyon video I made and enjoy a little Lost with Yvonne Goofy-ness that I add in all my travel videos.
And don’t forget to subscribe to my youtube channel youtube.com/lostwithyvonne I am slowly trying to post one video a week [Every Thursday!] to keep all you travelers entertained on my little travel adventures and hopefully soon I can grow my channel to more than just once a week.
Also don’t forget to follow on all my social media to see all my awesome pictures and random tweets I like to put out there in the world.
AND as always, don’t forget to get lost in the world and enjoy the unfamiliar!
Cheers xo
Next week I’ll be posting a little more written in depth things about the Grand Canyon with some awesome pictures and some tips that I learned coming here in the winter time! So keep an eye out for that my awesome people!

This is incredible! All that snow! I’ve visited the Grand Canyon in August as it’s impossible to believe that it would snow there when you are so hot at 8am than you’re struggling to stay in the sunshine. Thanks for linking this up with #MondayEscapes and enjoy your new home state!
When I visited I didn’t know it either until I started to look it up. The weekend before it was so snowy up there they had to close down a bunch of roads and now being so hot in AZ it is crazy to think it gets that snowy! And thanks for hosting MondayEscapes! And thank you, trying to keep in shade this summer.
Wow that snow! We visited a couple of years ago but landed in the basin it is one of my fave life experiences ever it took my breath away x
Yes! Even just looking back it still takes my breath away! It is truly grand as it says 🙂
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Grand Canyon like this. Great to have it almost to yourselves! #MondayEscapes
Yes! Definitely was cool to have it almost to ourselves! I mean it’s quite huge so you can always fine a little piece to yourself, but I think winter time there is definitely less people than usual!
After seeing I still feel like I’m on vacation. This is the one destination my family returns to year after year
Tx a lot!
That’s great to hear, I’m glad you felt the experience with me in my video! I will definitely be visiting the Grand Canyon more in the months to come!
Thanks for watching!
