With spring in the air and the weather being that perfect breeze and sun shine, what better way to spend a spring day than with wine tasting.
Back home in California there is quite a lot of vineyards to go do some wine tasting. Most know of Napa Valley to do their wine tasting, but in the city of Temecula in the southern part of California they have vineyards upon vineyards in one long row for your wine tasting time.
The Temecula Wine Country has quite a bit of vineyards to do lots wine tasting for all sorts of people.
I’ve gone wine tasting for my sister’s best friend’s bachelorette party (whew that’s a mouthful). My sister booked a wine tour/chauffeur called the Antique Pink Cadillac for the day and it paid for all our wine tasting and drove us around in this cool black London Style car.
We had three tour stops and we could spend as long as we wanted at each one, well until our free wine runs out.
We all realized that our three stops fell into a certain wine category that us girls thought of during the wine tours.
Stop 1: Briar Rose Winery
Best Service and Comfortable Atmosphere
Briar Rose started us with an enjoyable wine tasting experience. This was where we had some of the best laughs with each other and our waiters.
We were able to grab a little stone table outside in the shade and they gave us both white and red wine and actually took the time to explain to us each drink we had and added much laughs in between.
It was quiet (well besides our loud laughs) and cute. And out of the three wineries we went to, this had the best service for they made us feel at home. Plus the place looked like a fairy tale.
Stop 2: Danza Sol Winery
Best Dessert Wine and Fun Atmosphere
As soon as we hit the second winery, I knew I was feeling the wine kick in a bit.
At this winery, as soon as we got outside it was definitely different from the first. The music was loud and bumping and we couldn’t find a seat in the whole house. We did our wine tasting at the bar standing up.
I personally prefer dessert wines and I thoroughly enjoyed them here.
Every wine I tasted was pretty darn good in my opinion. My sister and I were definitely feeling it there.
I thought his place had some delicious wine with a fun time. And they had some cute accessories to sell to its wine people.
P.S. when you go to Danza Sol Winery ask for the Oyster chips, they are the best pair to the wine ever. Or maybe I was just so hungry that they were the best.
Stop 3: Oak Mountain Winery
Best View and Relaxed Atmosphere
At our last stop in our winery tour, we were starting to get a bit pooped. Luckily, the atmosphere at Oak Mountain was very relaxed and it had the best view for our winery tour.
The tasting room was perfectly cool in the heat of California and it had beautiful barrels as the nice backdrop as our wine was poured in. At this place we got some wine chips for our tasting, even though we ended up not using them all. But the white wine was all pretty good.
As we sat and enjoyed the small band playing outside, we went to the back and enjoyed the best view of the vineyard we’d seen all day.
As the wine tour came to an end, I know I enjoyed the view of this vineyard and it was a great way to relax from a great wine tasting day.
I’m not usually a wine person, but Temecula has some great wineries that I believe anyone can enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful view on a sunny day in So-Cal or looking for some really great wine to drink, Temecula Wine Country has it all.
Cheers!

This is great! I haven’t made it over the hill to Temecula yet but I’ve been wanting to look into doing a wine tour/tasting there!
It’s a great place to visit and do a tour/tasting! I loved it!
It does have some cool views, I need to go on a wine tour ASAP!
Wine tours are awesome! I love not having to worry about driving and having someone tell us about the wines and the town itself!
Aw that’s really cool! I loved wine tasting when I was in South Africa and would love to go wine tasting somewhere in North America too! Is it weird I’ve been obsessed with going to Napa since that movie with Lindsay Lohan? Anyhow….I love the idea to have a chauffeur too, definitely a good thing when the wine is kicking in 🙂
That’s awesome to go wine tasting in South Africa, I just want to visit South Africa alone. And totally not weird to think about Lindsay Lohan when you hear Napa Valley, I mean who wouldn’t have wanted to be in Parent trap and have a gorgeous house and vineyard like hers! And the chauffeur is the best idea, not having to worry about driving is always great!
