Get it? I can’t help when I’m punny for all the pun jokes around Nice, France.
Anyways, I needed to continue on with my European trip because there was still a whole slew of places I had visited and never got to write about. One of the lovely places being Nice, which is located in the south of France.
I had just come from Milan, Italy after finally meeting up with my sorority sister and visiting all the cool landmarks of Milan with my cousin. You can check out that three part posts here.
The next day we were off to visit the south of France. I had already been in Paris and it was wonderful and since we weren’t slowing down, Nice was definitely next. My sorority sister, Issela, was studying abroad during that fall semester in a small town called Antibes near Nice and I knew I had to visit where she was staying and see her while I was enjoying my European vacation.
We took a train and ended up in the beautiful Nice. The very first thing we did was eat at this Kabob place that Issela had gone to. And to this day that Kabob place had the best sandwich Kabob I had ever tasted in my entire life.
I don’t know what it’s called or where exactly it was located in Nice, not even a picture, but it was this small shop that had a few seats inside and outside and they cut the Gyros right in front of you and no matter how much Alex and I tried all the Kabobs in Europe, that was still the best Kabob we had. Granted we’ve never been to Greece yet so I’m sure my mind will be blown away when that happens.
After eating the best Gyro Kabob ever, we went on to explore the beautiful Nice.
It had this cool town square with pretty tiles and then further along we saw these cool water fountains and people dancing! It was a sight to see and I feel so special to have seen this on this particular day.
Afterwards we went towards the beach. Since Nice was located along the south of France, it does have a beach. This particular beach is filled with pebbles and rocks, so you’d definitely want shoes when walking along the coast.
But it was a gorgeous day to chill on the rocks and look at the beautiful coast. Alex even had fun looking for cool rocks in the ocean. It was definitely a cool and relaxing time to enjoy being in Nice. And I was so happy I got to spend it with Alex and Issela.
We ended the day walking back towards the square and looking at the beautiful buildings.
Before getting on the train we got some Gelato’s. And then we head to Antibes and her apartment had quite the view, if I must add.
Nice was definitely a nice time I’d say. We might’ve only stayed a few hours, but I’d say those few hours were some of the best few hours of my life near the south of France.
Have you been to Nice? Comment down below how beautiful the beaches are in the South of France if you’ve been to Nice or any of the other cool places along the coast!
