If there is one thing that I miss the very most from my cruise trip, besides seeing all the beautiful islands, is the food. 24 hours of free food included in your cruise package is what I think heaven must be like.

I love food, so in reality it was my heaven.

I decided to take a photo of almost each meal I had during my cruise ship. So I hope you’re hungry because you’re about to head to delish-town. (I’m corny, I know)

Cruise Ship Foods - 10 Days of Eating

Of course, I only took pictures of food and drinks that were mostly from the restaurants that were special that day or night.

A little Cruise tip:

look at where and what the specialty is for dinner for each night. They have something special and different every night that you just don’t want to miss out on.

And they have options, so you don’t have to worry about not liking one menu because there is always another option you might like elsewhere.

There is also buffets throughout the day, BBQs by the pool, and late night cafes and room service for all those late night partiers, *cough* me *cough*.

So take a seat and get ready for some good foods and good drinks coming your way.

I’ll be breaking it up with breakfast, lunch, the many beautiful dinners and all the deserts I had on the ship. And also a few different drinks thrown into the mix.

Breakfast

Most mornings were buffet mornings. And they usually had a plethora amount of buffet breakfast foods every morning until around 11 A.M.

So, it’s up to you if you want to hop in and get some quick breakfast or if you’re so inclined to sleep in, lunch is always just around the corner.

On certain days they have a special brunch day. This is when you get the fancy pancakes or french toast.

But for the most part, it was buffet breakfasts and I was always all for it. Especially when hungover.

I may or may not be hungover during this buffet breakfast.

Lunch

Lunch was mostly BBQ lunches. Meaning Burger and fries.

Most of the time out by the pool.

Or we’d do lunch on the islands. Like we did when we went to St. Maarten, Philipsburg and had some of the most delicious BBQ I’d ever had!

And there are options to go the extra mile and pay for certain restaurants on the ship. One lunch, my uncle bought us a meal time at their Asian restaurant on board, and so we had a Chinese feast of food.

So definitely look to see what kind of paid restaurant options there are, that Chinese food feast was so worth the extra courses for lunch.

Dinner

And then there was the all holy grail of fancy meals during dinner.

The cruise ship food for dinner was just some of the best dishes ever. They have some top chefs on the board and sometimes they come out and say hi and do some fun entertainment during dinner.

Desert

And of course, you can’t forget desert!

Every dinner, always followed a fancy desert.

Whether it was just ice cream or a cake. They were wonderful in my belly.

And I didn’t mind the chocolates they would leave in our room either.

Drinks

Now drinks.

I had a lot of them.

And I mean, A LOT.

If you didn’t read about the cruise ship fun I had, you check out that post here, well I had explained that I was lucky to have a high-roller aunt that plays the slot machine a lot, so I was able to get free drinks, as long as I was in the casino.

And I did that, quite a bit.

One of many free drinks I had on the cruise.

But that didn’t stop me from drinking other things.

My uncle got us a wine package deal before we even boarded the ship. And we got it for all our meals and if we didn’t finish it, we got to bring the bottle back with us.

Drinking that bottle of Wine!

Don’t worry, we pretty much always drank it all during dinner.

And then there were special drinks they had, like my first drink was called the Bon Voyage drink.

And of course, they had beer packages.

So there is no shortage in drinks on this ship. That’s for sure.

But also take part in the drinks on the islands. I had a lot of rum while on the islands and that helped keep my buzz going for most of the day.

Tips

-There are different restaurants you can eat at for dinner. So make sure to look at their menus, located right outside the restaurant and see which place has a menu that appeals to you most.

-Timing is everything for dinner. There was usually a special show right after dinner that was held in the theatre for the whole ship to go in and see if they wanted. So time your dinners to make sure you don’t miss it!

-Remember, to tip your servers, bartenders, etcs. It’s just good to do that even though you’re having a free meal. And that can build connections for you on the ship, especially for longs ones. Meaning stronger drinks, extra food, etc, etc. I know there is a gratuity usually billed in to cruises, but a few bucks here and there to people can go a long way.

-You can ask for seconds even during the dinners. It’s not uncommon to ask for seconds if you’re still hungry during dinner.

-If you do get hungry later on in the night, there is a late night cafe open 24/7 and your room service is free! So definitely take advantage of that, not many places have free room service!

-Soda is an extra on most cruises. Meaning, you’ll need to buy a drink package to get to the soda fountain. I’m not a big soda person, so I was totally fine with just drinking water and lots of booze.

-If you feel like you’ve eaten too much after day two (it happened day one for me), the cruise does have various activities that you can do to help offset your whole day of eating. There is a mini gym with pretty views, or you can take a dance class for an hour as one of your activities for the day.

Working out on a cruise - - Cruise Ship Foods

There was also a rock wall, basketball court and because it is a cruise ship, you can just walk around the cruise ship loop and get in at least a mile of walking done in a day. So don’t worry if you’re worried about your eating habits.

Also, ENJOY the free food. You’re going to miss it terribly after you’re back to your regular scheduled life. So don’t feel so bad if you felt that you ate too much on a cruise. It’s normal and I always think you should enjoy it while it’s happening.

I surely enjoyed all the foods and drinks while on my cruise.

I’m no foodie and wouldn’t consider myself a foodie. But I do just love food and going on a cruise was a fun time to eat all sorts of foods, especially when visiting other islands.
