That’s right, I’m back, and coming full force. Especially in the writing department. Which is why I felt it perfect to finally bring back Writer Wednesday!
Now, this might be more of a blog post for myself, more than anything. But I always like sharing things like my goals to people because
I enjoy reading people’s goals – it’s an inspiration to me to see what type of goals people have and maybe be something beneficial for myself to add to my goals.
It’s accountability – Don’t get me wrong, I’m the worst when it comes to accountability, anybody who listens to my podcast knows this. But still there’s this sense of wanting to go full force at my goals when it’s written down, especially on something like my blog.
I share because I share – Fact of the matter is, I’ve been sharing my goals on this blog for years, so why stop now?
But I assure you, as this may seem like a selfish blog post (kinda is), I hope in some way this will help inspire you to keep trucking along for your goals this year!
Nostalgia. That’s a big thing in the digital world right now.
Throwbacks of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time outfit #FreeBritney and seeing N*SYNC and Backstreet Boys collab together just give you all the feels.
And so when I came across this little ABC’s of Travel questionnaire, it brought me back to my Xanga and LiveJournal days and I figured, why not?
Why not have a little fun on my blog and bring back all the nostalgic feels as I make my way back into the digital media world? Why not have an enjoyable post that will bring me back to my traveling days and get me on the up and up on this blogging thing.
This is not just some trend, this is a movement. This is not the time to be silent, this is the time to speak up and use your platform to help bring justice. I have this small space on the internet and I refuse to keep quiet about this.
No Justice, No Peace.
And being silent about this is not helping.
I am not black, I am Asian, but I will stand by and always help out my fellow black people.
If you listened to my podcast episode first, I will be putting some links on ways to help during this movement. If you want to listen to my scattered thoughts you can listen to my podcast episode below. I usually post Tuesdays, but I have posted a day earlier because I couldn’t keep quiet on my podcast any longer.
As much as I have a voice and am doing my best to raise awareness, please listen to black people and what they have to say on this matter more than myself. I can only raise as much awareness as possible, but I will never be in the same shoes as black people and what they feel.
But for now, I have voiced my stance on this movement and I am here. I am an ally. I will stand by you all until justice is served, police brutality is taken seriously, and black people are treated equally. Because Black Lives Matter.
Below are the best resources I’ve used and can find to help in this Black Lives Matter Movement. I will update as best as I can or you can follow my twitter @lostwithyvonne or @writewithyvonne for more up to date stuff.
BEST BLACK LIVES MATTER WEBSITES TO HELP DURING THIS MOVEMENT

This is all I have for now. I hope this small bit helps in any way possible. And please keep EDUCATING yourself. I am on daily because I have privilege. As much as I am a person of color, I won’t understand what it means to be a black person during this time. So the best way is to educate yourself and LISTEN to your fellow black friends, leaders, people.

Carry-on.
That is my way of traveling. And I was always a backpack carry-on girl for most of my life.
That was until I got the Chester Minima Carry-on luggage.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m still a backpack girl. But when they reached out to me about sending me their Chester Minima Carry-on to review, I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to feel like a grownup, and actually own my first real carry-on luggage. (I usually borrow my parents. Hi, I’m in my late 20s).
Hear me out. I know I probably learned more lessons in my first year of podcasting. But there is ONE lesson I learned from doing one year of podcasting that I want to share as a blog post.
Which, if you didn’t know, my podcast turned one this year back on June 5th! And I had mixed emotions when I realized it’s been a year.
But most of it was pure joy.
It first came to me as a shock. I had it planned out on my content calendar, of course. But it didn’t hit me until a week prior that I had really been podcasting for a year.
If there is one thing that I miss the very most from my cruise trip, besides seeing all the beautiful islands, is the food. 24 hours of free food included in your cruise package is what I think heaven must be like.
I love food, so in reality it was my heaven.
I decided to take a photo of almost each meal I had during my cruise ship. So I hope you’re hungry because you’re about to head to delish-town. (I’m corny, I know)
Once upon a time I was sitting at my work computer, I had multiple web browsers up and my phone in my lap, just in case. When that clock struck the hour, I was on it. And after multiple attempts I actually made it, I got me and my friend Coachella tickets for weekend 1!
This was a big deal. Like a hug deal. But this was also way back before hologram 2Pac came alive on the Coachella stage. It was cheaper and easier then.
But even though things have definitely changed in the Coachella game since I last went, I figured my knowledge of Coachella is still relevant because I went with a local Coachella resident.
If you didn’t know, the islands I went to from these posts were all because I went on a cruise that took me to these wonderful islands. And that cruise was for 10 days, and only 4 of them were spent at the islands.
So, what about the other 6 days?
Well, I got to experience the fun times of the Norwegian Gem. And boy did they not disappoint. They had so much to do to keep your vacation both fun and relaxing.
How did Lost with Yvonne become the blog it is today? Well to start with, it all came from a single idea that has flourished into what I now have going on.
It hasn’t been easy, let me tell you. And I’m still working hard and learning everything I can to increase my traffic, make better content, and so on and so forth when it comes to blogging.
But I did want to share with all my lovely readers some of the first steps in creating a good blog. Basically, a quick and easy jump start to your blogging career. I’ll be doing a full-blown tutorial on how to start a blog soon, but for now, if you feel the urge to dive right in and start the blog you’ve always wanted to start, then here are my tips on making that dive that you can do today!
